straight from the tracks of damon albarn’s studio 13, the horrors new single “Whole New Way” was originally a Japan only b-side release. re-recording it was definitely a good idea, the tune is clearly more than a b-side. it shines a solid pop track with the sort of creepy feel-good dance vibes that could only come from the horrors… and well quite a few other bands. it totally makes me think of the “i’d fuck me” scene from silence of the lambs too. the single drops november 2 via XL, and the track is available to stream on their website right now.. what could you possibly be waiting for??
the b-side from “hang you from the heavens” and the only tune we’ve heard from these guys where everyone else in the band isn’t trying to sound like multi-instrumental alter-ego’s of jack white. perhaps a direction for the next album? and without a doubt have to agree on the media shit.
some dec tunes came from oasis’ standing on the shoulders. and just like be here now, the band didn’t even know which ones.. b side anyone? and fook’ while i’m on SOTSOG.. can’t believe they played this on letterman
I laughed the other day, reminded of an altercation i had with one of my roommates years back.. he had tried to make the case that every oasis song WAS in fact a Beatles song. intrigued, i bet him he was wrong. i played him a few oasis songs and asked which Beatles tunes they were?? he had no idea, but wouldn’t budge… a brawl soon followed. hit up “headshrinker” and my bet still stands… $100 to anybody who can unlock the Beatles song within
