more or less as a rule, we’re down with any band that has the word “pissed” in its name. pissed jeans are a rock and roll band from allentown, pa and are signed to sub pop. their sophomore LP “king of jeans” (maybe the album title of the year) is out aug 18. we could put on a tight black shirt but we don’t bother either.

from the you may be blue EP released in ‘08, the title track is an american folk journey into what could only be a somber and bitter life experience.. “my time with you, beat a thorn-filled path, blood filled where we passed through”. their new record tight knit was released via Sub Pop this past February.

what a killer hodgepodge of sounds. i wasn’t surprised when i found out these brooklynites were a sub-pop band, or that they are made up of indie vets from Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, Edsel and Shortstack.. blame you came out in march and it has some great garage rock on it. most importantly, they have a killer photo section on their myspace.
