Charlene Soraia – Lightyears
South London songwriter Charlene Soraia is the current owner of the #7 place on the UK singles chart. Her piano-driven cover of The Calling’s “Wherever You Will Go” (remember that shit?) which debuted in Tea commercial has shot the 23 year old into the spotlight. “Lightyears”, a Soraia-penned track, is a pensive, neatly-voiced shuffle that while maybe not a Top 10 UK hit is still a really solid track that demands your listening attention.
