The megaton hooks and the brute pop might of Major Lazer’s “Lean On” has blossomed fully into the radio ubiquity of the best sort; a pop song with a fresh sound and artful & progressive qualities (and MØ! in the Billboard Top 5). I was Youtube cruising the other night and most accidentally had this South Asian blend of “Lean On” hit my speakers and what a pleasant bit of serendipitous discovery as I found myself hooked almost immediately. The track is mash of “Lean On” by D.C.-based singer Vidya paired with ?Punjabi (forgive us if we’ve got the wrong language!) track “Jind Mahi” and it’s brilliant. Listen.
