Greek producers (and friends) MANSTA (Manolis Stavroulakis) and Benet (covered here) team up for a comprehensively brilliant disco-detailed take on saxy chart-topping vocals-led Crusaders gem “Street Life” (which apparently was part of the Crusaders 1979 hit studio album of the same name). Multi-talent Greek producer Benet puts a cool summer spin on the R&B/house sound of the moment on his new fastidiously crafted synth-heavy funk-leaning remix of “Back to Life” the vibrant soul-tinged nu-disco new release which is the ultra-catchy remix-friendly collaboration between English nu-disco trio Patawawa and Parisian nu-disco producer Roman Kolder. We enjoy the funky summer-dance-party vibe on Benet’s rendition, especially his elaborate electronic array of synth atmospherics, low-touch clap percussion and brilliant dichotomy of upscale-vibe subterranean beats. Jeezy just dropped “Shake Life”, the latest single off Thug Motivation 103 (due this coming Tuesday), on Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 show. We’re feeling this on the first couple listens. That Eric Benet sample is definitely a bit different sound palette for a Snowman single. It’s no “And Then What”. See if you’re into it below. Yeeeeeaaahh
