Trails and Ways – Border Crosser (The Seshen Remix)

Trails and Ways have just released this stellar remix of their single, “Border Crosser” by fellow Bay Area collective The Seshen. We can’t get enough of The Seshen’s reverb pulsed, chopped and screwed interpretation of the track’s already tense bass, synths, and melody. This cut is the first release from a new remix EP that Trails and Ways will be releasing January 8th, 2013. Keep a look out for Trails and Ways debut full length, Trilingual expected to drop sometime next year.

Benga – Open Your Eyes

Get psyched because Beni ‘Benga’ Adejumo has just dropped his latest banga! Yes, we did just say ‘banga’ and the track “Open Your Eyes” wraps the year for this UK based producer, offering just a taste of the electronic mayhem to come on his new album dropping in 2013. Ducktails – Letter Of Intent

“Letter Of Intent” is the absolutely catchy new synth-pop single by Ducktails (Real Estate’s Matt Mondanile). Previewed from a forthcoming Domino Records release, The Flower Lane, “Letter Of Intent” seems nothing short of a solid indication that this album will be a noteworthy one. The single features Jessa Farkas (Future Shuttle) on vocals, Joel Ford (Ford & Lopatin) playing bass and Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never) on the keys. Ducktails hits the road in early 2013 with dates in New York City, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and the United Kingdom. By Brian Litwin

Premiere: Robots Don’t Sleep – Self Titled [EP]

Berlin producer Robot Koch has teamed up with oft-collaborating vocalist John LaMonica for his fourth release, and first with Robots Don’t Sleep. His new self-titled EP is a fresh galactic mix of composition and instrumentation for the European beat maker. Robots Don’t Sleep translates seemlessly as a band project, taking a songwriting and melodic focus similar to Koch’s previous work with LaMonica on The Other Side. B3SCI’s got the US Premiere of the new EP. Get into it below.

Alt-J – Fitzpleasure (Betatraxx Remix)

Alt-J (∆)’s incredible first major release An Awesome Wave is making them one of the most talked about acts of 2012. Winning the Mercury Prize Award and just announcing a spring North American tour, it seems like all systems are go for this Leeds based quartet. Today, only a couple hours after their North American tour dates were released, alt-J unveiled a daunting remix of “Fitzpleasure” conjured up by LA DJ BetaTraxx. Changing tempos and overall feel of the song makes this remix stand out over other remixes of the song. The heavy use of reverb had me almost immediately. By Brian Litwin

Jon Bellion – LIFE

New York based singer songwriter Jon Bellion recently dropped a second track from his forthcoming free album Translations Through Speakers via the Visionary Music Group label. “Life” (produced entirely by Bellion) is an infectiously charming track infused with effervescent vocals, a bright harmonic release, and an impossibly catchy sing-song refrain. Check out the accompanying new video by director Jeremy Peel. By Erin Feathers
