STéLOUSE – Let Go (Feat. Andrew Paley)

The Denver-based production maven STéLOUSE first new track in many months on Andrew Paley-featuring “Let Go”. “Let Go” sounds in its production unlike just about anything out right now (check that complex bit of instrumental meshing between 0:50-1:10) and the big-sounding track has a fitting vocal complement in singer Paley’s soaring melodic choices. Tanis – Blackout (Memoryy Remix)

This remix of Tanis’ “Blackout” by Albuquerque’s rising synth pop act, Memoryy recently caught my ear. The tune take’s the original’s elegant vocals and accentuates them with melodic synths and feel-good energy to create an uplifting atmosphere. If you dig the sound, definitely check out Memoryy’s other work as the artist seems to be cultivating a strong style.

“Blind” is the new upcoming EP from Edinburgh-raised artist Leon Power. An alum of Method Records and a collaborator of Nicolas Jaar, Mr. Power on “Open Up” sets a measured rhythmic pace to dreamy soundscape fit with circadian bass and shimmery falsetto hooks. In sum, we’re into it. The “Blind” EP is forthcoming on Majestic Casual’s new label.

Wingtip – Need Me

Wingtip is Brooklyn-based producer Nick Perloff-Giles. Back in June we gave the B3 stamp to the party track “Missing You” and now Wingtip returns this week with equally strong follow-up in the form of “Need Me”. We dig the cool juxtaposition in the track between it’s more melancholic vocal bits vs it’s otherwise dance-pop instrumentation. About “Need Me”, Wingtip said similarly, “The sound of a guitar in reverse for some reason always sounds kind of mournful and nostalgic to me, so putting it over this otherwise upbeat instrumental gave it this kind of bittersweet quality that just connected.” Get into “Need Me” below.
