Krs – Gyal Thing

krs

Toronto producer, Noir Sound (Film Noir) founder and rising star artist Krs., who we most recently covered for his upbeat percussively-textured bass-heavy Roy Wood featured bootleg track “All of You”, exudes a gorgeous shadowy-vibe flamboyance on his new artfully-beat-driven Demarco-inspired subtle-stinger bootleg, “Gyal Thing”, which excels for its down-and-dirty tropical dance vibe, heated deep-surface vocal selections and incessant seductively-on-point beats. Ambassadeurs – Looking At You (Feat. C. Duncan)

ambassadeurs

Get into the sublime atmospherics and deep sultry pace of “Looking At You” the radiant new track from London producer Ambassadeurs which is an excellent follow-up to his B3-featured single “Crimson”; both tracks come off of Ambassadeur’s new debut EP “Patterns” that hits the streets today via label Lost Tribe Records. We’re attracted to the new song’s beautifully-meshed soft-edged vocal harmonies (staring Glasgow musician C. Duncan), muted ambient beats and brightly reverberating instrumentals– especially the dramatically-placed synth accents. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Frances – Grow (Oceaán Remix)

frances

Belgian-Englishman rising-star talent Oceaán, a B3 favorite artist who last wowed us with a riotous remix of Everything Everything track “Regret”, gets creative and brilliantly deconstructive (yet again) on his stunningly-intro’ed hand-percussion-punctuated jazzy-beat-centered remix of EP-debut acoustic ballad beauty “Grow” (also covered here on B3) from UK singer-songwriter and piano woman Frances (who releases her upcoming debut EP through Communion Music in July). Prof. Delacroix – Cupid

profdelacroix

Get caught up in the vibrant hypnotic rhythm between beat, percussion and synth on cinematic-vibe expansive instrumental melodic-techno track “Cupid” from German label-owner DJ/producer and visual artist Aybee Deepblak who is also known as Prof. Delacroix and better known as his DJ/producer name Deepblak. Aybee (who is veteran artist entrenched in the music scene for about a decade now) fashioned label Deepblak Recordings to “create a home for all things Avant-Garde, Kosmic and Soul”. Aybee has only released one other track “Build Her” under the name Prof. Delacroix (it’s also very good) and few under Deepblak as of late so we feel honored to cross the soulful techno-stunner “Cupid’s” path. Be sure to check out his Deepblack label webpage and Soundcloud for some very well-selected genre-fusion tracks and featured artists as well as Aybee’s own excellent Berlin-techno-bent music. Fractures – Reactor

fractures

We love the slightly-intense mismatched interludes of beats and guitar as well as the beautifully spun wandering-debate I-am-human emotional lyricism and heart-felt falsetto vocals of Melbourne multi-instrumentalist musician-singer and producer Fractures on his fresh new track “Reactor” which is the first song the solo artist has released since his atmospheric self-titled EP that includes B3 highlighted winner track “Cadence”. We look forward to hearring more tracks off Fractures’ debut early-2016-release full album. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Yheti & Esseks – Voices In The Dark

yheti

Lose yourself in the broad depths and atmospheric experimental folds of new track “Voices in the Dark” which was created on a cold NY day by collaborative duo Yheti and Esseks; who go for a brilliant subtly-robust percussion-peppered eccentric-instrumental vibe on the track that contains a beautifully dramatic and spacey escalating synth line. “Voices in the Dark” actually reminds us of the muted and watery deeply-embedded mind-expansive sounds that come out to play on a cold wintery day. We’re into it. Reviewed by Erin Shay

Antony & Cleopatra – Take Me (Pat Lok’s “Yukon Funk” Mix)

antonypatlokedit

Vancouver DJ wiz-kid and producer Pat Lok (who excels at remixing new fresh-release tracks from A to B) captures our attention again with his fabulously funky, energetic new “Yukon Funk” dance edit of “Take Me” the tropical-vibe Anthony and Cleopatra new release out on Vitalic Noise. We’re impressed again by Lok’s rising-style producer skills on “Take Me” which Lok cleverly infuses with reverberations of his previous track, the brilliantly topped-out instrumental-heavy ‘Yukon Soul’ edit of Boxed In track “Mystery” that we recently covered here on the B3 blog. Krs – All of U (Feat. Roy Woods)

krs

B3 just covered Toronto producer and Noir Sound (Film Noir) founder Krs. for his joint-effort acoustic-leaning fix of D.R.A.M track “Cha Cha” (feat. Tierra Wilson) that he created with Texas producer pal Romby. We love the endearing, artfully-inspired minimalist style and long-view creative vision gift of Krs. who is rapidly becoming well-accomplished in making bootleg remixes and introducing the world to some incredibly promising vocal acts. Krs. impresses again on his newest bootleg endeavor “All Of U” which is a slightly more upbeat percussively-textured bass-heavy take on talented 19-year-old Brampton (Toronto suburb) vocalist homeboy Roy Wood$; who’s track “All of You” features his own very attractive, superbly impassioned MJ-reverbing vocal talents that have indeed captivated us. Stay tuned and be sure to check out Roy Wood$’s upcoming project EXIS which is scheduled to drop sometime in 2015 and follow Krs./Film Noir for some lavishly modern minimalist cross-genre R&B/Hip-Hop roots hybrid electro-tinged tracks. Billie Black – Music Box

billieblack

“Music Box” is the fundamentally appealing beat-centered melodic antique-music-box-accented Billie Black track that is based upon a seductive all encompassing R&B vocal hook and rock steady deeply-sultry beat. Miss Black’s vital slightly-cautious vocals are very engrossing on new track “Music Box”; as are most songs led by the promising young West London vocalist extraordinaire who recently released her wonderful debut “Teach Me” EP which includes the seductively stellar late night synthed-out gem “Going Under” that we recently covered here on B3. Simply amazing. We love you Billie Black! Reviewed by Erin Shay.
