DJ Khaled – They Ready (Feat. J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Kendrick Lamar)

DJ Khaled dropped three not one, not two (crazy Khaled), but THREE new tracks from his upcoming Kiss The Ring LP on Funkmaster Flex’s show tonight. The J. Cole-produced Kendrick and K.R.I.T.-featuring “They Ready” is the easy standout of the trio. Get a sample below. p.s. Khaled you misspelled K.Dot’s first name on the single artwork. K-E-N-D-R-I-C-K.

SPACEGHOSTPURRP – Black Swamp

The Raider Klan general dropped off a little something new today in the form of the spooky a.f. “Black Swamp”. The b3sci crew have been doing the “Creepy Walk” (which looks something like praying mantis hands combined with the way Dick Dastardly sort of hobbles about like he’s got a serious lower back problem) all day to this joint.

Lupe Fiasco – Lamborghini Angels

Lupe’s latest from Food & Liquor II (which drops 25th September) sees the Chicago MC jump on a hypnotic-sounding jawn c/o rising producer Mr. Inkredible.

The Fieldz – Enemy of the Great (Feat. Colin Munroe)

Our man Colin Monroe provides a smooth croon on the hook for “Enemy of the Great”, a new Christian Rich-produced track from VA rapper The Fieldz. The Virginia newcomer has a mixtape project Soar Loser in the works. If “Enemy of the Great” is any indication, SL is a tape we’ll definitely need some ears on.

E-TRAIN – So Good (Ft. Molly K)

When it comes to summer jams “So Good” hits that sweet spot. The new track from E-TRAIN is his first release since WRATH OF ROXANE+. The song is previewed here for the first time from an upcoming untitled project expected September 5th and it features LA-based Molly K on the sugary hook. Good luck not singing along to this one.

E-TRAIN performs this Saturday in West Los Angeles @ Touch Vinyl with SoundFanua and A Sol Mechanic (INFO) NO COVER 8pm door.

Ice Edwards – Harry Potter Kush (Feat. Waldo Da Goon)

NJ rapper Ice Edwards will meet you at 35,000 feet, that can’t-even-get-that-high-on-the-back-of-a-broomstick elevation. That Harry Potter Kush.

50 Cent – New Day (Feat. Dr. Dre & Alicia Keys)

Alicia Keys’ latest (complete with those “oh oh oh ohs” that she’s so adept at) becomes the bed for a new 50/Dr. Dre track that is actually knockin’ pretty hard. Can this be Curtis’ comeback single? Our homeboy had a chart hit with that “Down on Me” track w/ Jeremih last summer, so dude is still in the conversation. Is “New Day” enough to get him back to relevance?

Antwon – Living Every Dream (Prod. Pictureplane)

We’ve been steady bouncing to this new jam by Bay Area rapper Antwon all weekend. On the track, producer Pictureplane cooks up a sharp 90’s-styled “Tom’s Diner”-sampling heater for Antwon to rock to. Definite summertime jam status. Look out for Antwon’s End of Earth LP due soon.

Rick Ross – Maybach Music IV (Feat. Ne-Yo)

r

This is what a champagne shower sounds like. The Boss grabs frequent collaborator Ne-Yo (“Super High”, “Think Like a Man” for some seriously expensive sounding shit on “Maybach Music IV”. Ross is, if anything, “going for it” on what we’ve heard thusfar off of GFID. Lengthy uniquely structured and arranged tracks, the cinematic quality that made Teflon Don so good has been pushed into an entirely new sphere on GFID. Tracks like “MMIV” and “Sixteen” are maybe a bit less focused than their TD counterparts but they’re bigger, elastic enough in a way, to shoulder the Atlasian labor to bear the weight of Rozay’s exponentially expanding larger than life persona.
