Small Talk – Erase Me (Feat. Ava Lake & Maizy Lind)

smalltalk

The new low-key under-the-radar hip-hop fusion producer Small Talk (not to be confused with two different North American bands of the same name) has recently turned out a string of short and sweet, beautifully loaded vocally-superb tracks. On their third and most-recent release Small Talk teams up with talented young Chicagoland songstresses Ava Lake and Maizy Lind on a gorgeous, wonderfully simple acoustic cover of Kid Cudi hit “Erase Me”. With such a fresh well-executed cover under their belt, Small Talk who first surfaced in March with the lovely-vocaled beat-centric debut track “Bitter Sweet”, has us enthusiastic to hear more outstanding beats and fresh collaborations to come. Hopium – Right Now

hopium

“Right Now” is a newest exercise in melodic sorcery/running laps around the competition from Aussie act Hopium. The Melbourne duo’s third track online, including breakthrough “Dreamers” which went to #1 Hypem, “Right Now” traffics in a similar type of sticky staccato instrumentation and tunefulness as “Dreamers” that marks “Right Now”s success as a viral hit all but certain.

Oslo Parks – Fiction

osloparks2

Brighton-based new favorites Oslo Parks are releasing a new single on June 8th via X Novo Records. The first track to surface from the AA-side release is “Fiction”, a sunny synth-laden take on modern indie pop that in addition to being very very good takes cool risks in its arrangement (love those staccato piano stabs) and melodic choices.
