Premiere: Dominique – It’s Only You (Pinemarten Remix)

IOY(PM)[3]

New York City-based Dominique released her debut track online, the forward thinking neatly and uniquely arranged pop of “It’s Only You” last fall. Here, UK producer Martyn Stonehouse a/k/a Pinemarten styles “It’s Only You” into 80’s pop-inspired break-heavy gem chocked to the brim with cinema. Stream the B3 Premiere of Pinemarten’s remix for Dominique’s “It’s Only You” below.

Jess Nolan – My Love

jessnolan

“My Love” is new from Miami-based songwriter Jess Nolan. Produced by (and recorded in) Brooklyn duo Noise Club, “My Love”‘s soft sonics well complement Jess Nolan’s controlled rich in tone vocal. A+.

Monarch – Stay

monarch

“Stay” is the lead track from supergroup of sorts (the band features members of OneRepublic and A Fine Frenzy) Monarch’s “Apollo” EP. “Stay” succeeds on its not one note out of place songwriting and it’s unexpected (for a synth pop track) low touch restraint. Look for remixes from Bearson and Kill Them With Colour for “Stay” coming soon.

Lapsley – Falling Short (JackLNDN Remix)

20lapsley

London-based house producer JackLNDN (who’s electrifying remix of George Maple’s 2014 hit “Talk Talk” recently made the B3SCI picks) fosters an upbeat atmosphere with his flawlessly light and expansive disco-fabulous version of the beautifully melodramatic “Falling Short” by British songstress Lapsley. Last night was not only the Los Angeles debut for Tove Styrke, but her US debut as well. The Swedish native packed The Echo for Neon Gold’s PopShop. With nothing but a drummer and guitarist, the young singer took the stage and owned it. Playing her new songs and some unreleased, Tove Styrke’s live set was one I wish didn’t end so soon. If you live in San Francisco or NYC, she’s coming there next. Bring your squad, and enjoy some great vibes.

Day Wave – Total Zombie

daywave

“Total Zombie” is the second track to surface online from Oakland native Jackson Phillips a/k/a Day Wave. Following the buzzy “Nothing At All”, “Total Zombie” moves in a similar lo-fi, immediately infectious bit of real estate. Listen.
