Garden City Movement – Slightly All the Time

The superb “Slightly All the Time” is new from Garden City Movement. The Israeli origin band have signed with the Night Time Stores label to release a debut LP in 2018. “Slightly All the Time” wins for its excellent use of space in its arrangement (the track locks you into it’s particular spare/after hours landscape) and creativity in its composition (we love the variety of instruments used on the track).

Holy Motors – Honeymooning

Holy Motors, out of the Estonian capital city of Tallinn, stream stark Mazzy Star-like in aesthetic new track “Honeymooning”. With an emphasis on space in the arrangement, “Honeymooning” takes that reverb-heavy deep in the p.a. vocal style perfect by Mazzy or Chris Izaak, and more recently The xx, and casts a darker (slightly menacing) thematic tone. Holy Motors’ debut LP Slow Sundown is out February 9th.
