White Lies take every blogger’s fav pair of lips to The Factory circa 1981. The mix doesn’t really sound like Lana nor does it really sound like White Lies either, layer upon layer of analogue synths and drum loops. The result is a sharp sounding remix that would have even pissed Pete Hook cutting a serious rug.

Big new track from LA’s PAPA. “Ain’t It So” sports the influences of soul and great pop songwriting that are sorely at some sort of nadir in today indieville climate. There are no chill synth vibes, no goofy-ass background “harmonies”, no hazily filtered press photos, just a solid slice of that rock and roll pie. Sample some below.
