The Alex Turner co-produced “Shades” is new from Portland songwriter Alexandra Savior. Led by a cool syncopated rhythm track and a deep in the mix lead vocal, the song (for reference) aesthetically hits a bit of the “R&B architecture” of the latter days Arctics style. “Shades” is out now on Columbia.
South London trio Beaty Heart will release debut LP Till The Tomb via Caroline on July 29. The coolly melodic subtly layered winner (co-produced by Jungle!) “Raw Gold” is LP’s first stream. A+
