NYC’s highest FlyLo stan (guessing) Smoke DZA takes to Until the Quiet Comes instrumental “Getting There” and clocks through a solid run of bars doing well to smoothly navigate the tricky beat. “Just My Thoughts” is taken from Steve-O’s “We Are Alive #7” podcast coming out next week.

A million times yes! New fave GDNA out of Southern California adds a pitch perfect dreamy space age jazz touch to Flying Lotus’ “MmmHmm” track from 2010’s Cosmogramma. Normally, remixing FlyLo would be fraught w/ all sorts of danger/red flags but GDNA’s mix is of such a quality that you almost forget it was Flying Lotus’ track to begin with (which is saying a ton).

One of our all-time favs Fly Lo threw down on some unreleased tracks on his Soundcloud last night. Among the 8 as of yet unheard tracks are some real gems. Our favorite of which is this “Massive Attack” mix. And, yes, the track does a bit remind of that legendary group, it sounds more of the great Massive Attack mixes Mad Professor did. Of course, this is Fly Lo and the track is super brilliant/mindblowing in its own right. Sample for yourself below. p.s. b3sci fav B.Lewis offers a ‘choice’ of “Tea Leaf Dancers” in the form of two remixes. The first, “Stay,” is mellow and groovy. The second, “Leave,” takes a different direction with syncopation and harmonic accompaniment. Staying true to the original, both are worth checking out.

Maybe a slightly more jazzed up quality on this new Flying Lotus tune. It sort of carries a similar aesthetic to Roy Ayers more mellow ’70’s material. Add to that Fly Lo’s usual haul of killer polyrhythms and rich ambient textures and you’re left smoothing out to a pretty sick track. “Caravan of Delight” will feature on the new Ed Banger release King of Limbs Let the Children Techno expect quality shit from Skream, Mr. Oizo and SebastiAn to also feature on the compilation.
