“On Your Way” is new from Alabama Shakes, formerly just The Shakes. Supported by frontwoman Brittany Howard’s husky, urgent, honest vocal, AS play some really excellent southern soul-influenced rock and roll. Otis Redding, James Carr, CCR, The Band, other stuff are just a few of the references here. If you like a little church and/or a little deep fryer in your rock music (we do!), you will want to check Alabama Shakes out ASAP.
