We’re into “Something Else”, the inventive new bit of rhythmic pop from South London duo Lightboxes. “Something Else” with its layered rhythms, instrumentally spare aesthetic and pinpoint alto vocal remind us (in a very good way) of Little Dragon’s best. The duo compose a unique live performance dynamic, singer Donna Thompson doubles as Lightboxes drummer and her songwriting partner John Atterbury plays upright double bass.
