The showcase which is happening on SXSW Friday (March 15) at Javelina’s at 69 Rainey St. features a lineup of B3SCI Records artists past and present including Liverpudlian mutant pop men Trudy and the Romance, the most mysterious UK indie of NANCY, the glace modern pop of Laura Jean Anderson, and the sprawling cinematic sound of Drinker + the rhythmic wistful pop of Nick Leng and Brighton guitar dynamos THYLA. First set goes off at 8:00 PM. Be there!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… SXSW! B3 is pleased to announce, in collaboration with AWAL, a showcase on Thursday March, 15 at the Palm Door on Sabine St. in Austin. Featuring the outcast pop of B3 alum NVDES, current B3 acts cladestine popman Young & Sick and L.A. singer/powerhouse Evalyn; the March 15th show also includes a smattering of favorite B3 acts, redoutable transatlantic indie pop duo Freedom Fry, UK rock turbojets The Warbly Jets, cousins in cool electropop Otzeki, and the Franco-American sophisticate pop of CLARA-NOVA. The first set for this official showcase goes off at 7:45 on Thursday the 15th. Be there!

B3SCI Presents: Love Trumps Hate w/ The Silversun Pickups @ The Bootleg Theater, Sat 1/14

B3SCI is very pleased to be teaming up with the L.A. Safety Coalition, The Bootleg Theater, Amoeba Music, Swing House,, Balcony TV, Everett, We Found New Music, LYKA and Angry Mob Music to co-present Love Trumps Hate at The Bootleg Theater in L.A. this Saturday (1/14). The event features an acoustic full-band set from The Silversun Pickups with support from YACHT, James Supercave, Nick Waterhouse and more. Saturday’s event will feature, too, a silent auction with items up for grabs from Fitz & The Tantrums, Leon Bridges, Young the Giant, Family of the Year, Mac DeMarco, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Angel Olsen, BØRNS, YACHT, Run River North, How to Dress Well, and Counting Crows. All proceeds from Saturday’s show are to benefit the ACLU and Planned Parenthood. Tickets are $20 and can be obtained here. Be there.

One of the most exciting artists in emerging pop right now Grace Mitchell will perform at Silver Lake’s Tenants of the Trees this Wednesday 10/19. A component part of Grace’s 4 gig “Plays Herself” series of shows throughout Los Angeles, Wednesday’s show will feature supporting DJ sets from Morly and DJ Skeet. B3SCI is very proud to present hitmakers Oyster Kids (“Creepy”, “Lips”, etc.) alongside B3SCI Records very own NVDES THIS MONDAY 10/17 at The Echo in L.A. Part of a month-long residency for Oyster Kids at the Echo, the show will also include supporting sets from The Lonely Wild and Fakers in addition to NVDES. B3SCI is pleased to announce that we’ve teamed up with the very awesome Disco Naivete to host and curate a showcase this year at Mazda + Hype Machine’s Hype Hotel. This year’s line-up features the esteemable Minnesotans Polica, R&B star in the making Gallant, faves Honne, and a pair of cool pop up and comers, Transviolet and Coast Modern, PLUS a DJ set from Louis The Child. The show opens up at 12 Noon on Friday March 18th at 1100 E. 5th St. in Austin. Many thanks to DN, HM, Mazda and all the other sponsors who helped make this showcase a reality. We are psyched! Team B3 is happy to announce we’ve paired up with Roll Call Records to present Monday’s (January 25th) SWIMM show at The Echo in Los Angeles. Night 4 the band’s month-long Monday night residency at The Echo, the show will feature cool support from New Electric Sound, TOLD and Good Graeff. As an added bonus (!) there will be a video crew at the show to shoot the band and the gig, so if you do attend, you also have a shot at becoming famous too. SWIMM’s excellent “Beverly Hells” EP is out now and you can stream the neat pop of single “Belly” below. For further details on the gig, check the Echo website. Be square or be there on the 25th.

Civil Twilight, the Nashville-based indie pop stars in-waiting, link up with kinetic popsters Knox Hamilton and B3SCI Recs’-reppin’ locals TOWER for a fun show at the Roxy in West Hollywood this coming Tuesday, 10/6.
