We don’t know much about rapper Gittaa Thomas other than; 1) He’s from Chicago 2) He used to be in a rap duo called Gez Lewiez 3) His debut single “Moments” absolutely kills.

POWER EXCHANGE. Memphis (surprise! he’s not UK) rapper Cities Aviv, who’s underrated Black Pleasure mixtape was a b3 favorite last year, chops it up on top a female-voiced 80’s soul-sampling beat of his own creation.

If Godzilla had Spotify, we’re pretty sure his “Destroy Tokyo Jams” playlist would just feature “R U Ready” 20+ times. It’s that GODZILLA heater.

“You’re Gone” is the first preview from Ab-Soul & JMSN’s upcoming collaborative LP, Unit 6. “You’re Gone” is a definite first mark in the dope column for Unit 6 and has Team B3 that much more keyed up for its release. “You’re Gone” is ambitious (like orchestra tones out the ride ambitious), the production is next level, and it sounds nothing like the current rap milieu. Win.

What makes this generation’s Philly rap special is that it’s truly coming from the heart. Everyone is hood. That’s nothing new to the city. So, the smart rappers are bringing back fun/raw hip-hop. Philadelphia was making trap songs ten years ago. It’s old now and clearly never got Killadelphia anywhere. Now, it’s back to basics. TJ Atoms reps one of the few people that made it, from the city of Brotherly Love, in the anthem “Bill Cosby.” Rapid fire delivery is a walk in the park for Atoms and The Bakery Boys (as the video showcases). Try to keep up. By Teddy Pendergrass

Antwon, who’s “Living Every Dream” was one of our favorite tracks of last year, links up with fellow Bay Area artists Friendzone (who have produced for A$AP Rocky & Main Attrakionz and others) for the excellent Sigur Ros(!)-sampling “Automatic”.

We got’em, Bawse. We’d take a collect call from Gunplay too. MMG’s latest signee Rockie Fresh grabs Rozay and Neighborhood Nipsey for the contemplative heater vibes of buzz single “Life Long”.

Of course we love this. Still, everytime we hear the 50 year old man component of this track rap about make-up sex, it’s a little weird. Welcome back, JT.

Our man from the 330, Stalley, pours one out for Polska on a new remix for “Seen It All”. Brokered during the MMG Beardman’s recent European Tour, this vibed out re-spin of “Seen It All” comes to us from upstart Polish producers MAUi WOWiE. It’s a certain credit to the remixer(s), for sure, to improve the track your remixing but these Poles with their mix completely blow the original “Seen It All” track away. Give MAUi WOWiE your ears below.
