We love the fresh and emotive wisdom-pop wonder track “Enough to Love” from an immensely talented pop artist and new-discovery Miles Clark Wallace a young British lad who possesses a similarly excellent and accomplished beyond-his-years depth-of-humor lyricism, inviting folky-sensitive vibe and subdued indie instrumental sense of style as the one and only godfather of anti-folk, Beck. New York duo Lewis Del Mar go beyond cool with their artfully-bombastic softly-brazen instrumentally-stunning new debut track “Loud(y)” (also dubbed “Sit the Fuck Down”) which obviously stews in an attitude problem. We totally love this track; from its hazy boldly-wrought guitar riffs, juicy synth-laden drive and emotion-heavy electronic-beats to its hot-and-bothered incessantly-changing vocals and cerebral obscurely-fuzzy spoken word portions. “Loud(y)’s sounds-capes embody an avant-garde edge-pushing style that reminds us a bit of Alt-J. We love the slightly-intense mismatched interludes of beats and guitar as well as the beautifully spun wandering-debate I-am-human emotional lyricism and heart-felt falsetto vocals of Melbourne multi-instrumentalist musician-singer and producer Fractures on his fresh new track “Reactor” which is the first song the solo artist has released since his atmospheric self-titled EP that includes B3 highlighted winner track “Cadence”. We like the timeless meld of pop elements and captivating innate-sense sex appeal on new track “Anxious In Venice”, the soothing-vibe vox-enhanced gem from LA-based pop trio Superhumanoids who impress with their rad Blondie-esque vocals and juicy stunningly-expressive driving synth. “Anxious In Venice” is the first song off the group’s upcoming album called Do You Feel OK? which is out via Innovative Leisure in September. We’re hung up on the smashing vocals of promising young West London vocalist extraordinaire Billie Black yet again on her new mellow melody-laced piano-driven track “Hung Up”; which follows Billie’s engrossing rock steady, deeply-sultry beat enhanced track “Music Box” that we featured on the blog last week. We are happy to introduce the freshly-minted collaboration “Best On” from two of our favorite NYC emerging-talent artists, LUCA (aka producer Luca Buccellati who is one half of Brooklyn-raised producer duo Yellerkin) and Brooklyn-based Argentinian gal-pal producer-songstress Tei Shi who has garnered our attentions many times on the blog with her world-class vocal prowess and fresh minimalist production/collaboration style. In November B3 covered the two’s previous diverse-genre joint-collaboration track (created along with Dave Bayley of Glass Animals) called “See Me” which was Tei Shi’s much anticipated follow-up track to her 2014 gem hit “Bassically” that hit #1 on Hypem and also helped land her slot #11 on our year-end list of B3SCI Best of 2014: Artists to Watch in 2015. New track “Best On” in which Tei Shi contributes the vocal/lyrical complement to LUCA’s production know-how and seductive beats, is producer Luca Buccellati’s ingenious lavishly-spun means to announce the launch of his solo side-project as LUCA. Well played! With its poppy intrinsically-wound minimalist instrumentals and Tei Shi’s signature dreamy ultra-feminine soulfully-artistic R&B-tinged vocal harmonies and stunning lyrical wiles, the incredible impeccably-produced debut track “Best On” showcases not only a terrific start to LUCA’s repackaged-as-solo-sound but it witnesses Tei Shi’s upper-echelon caliber talent gracefully unfolding into a new slightly-softer and poppy, tempered-edge more-confident drop-dead gorgeous sound. We are psyched to say that Tei Shi, with the assistance of LUCA (who stated that he enjoys collaborating with other artists and helping them fine-tune their sound) has embodied a new catchy appeal and level of emotion with her vocals on par with “Bassically”. “Best On” which is about “putting your best on” for someone special is out via LUCA’s own label Garden Party Records. Indigo Future is the PNW-focused (Pacific North Wilderness) artist collaborative/label that currently features the work of many local-area artists and bands, including Spokane trio WILD PACIFIC, whose guitarist Daniel Riley unveiled his dreamy-vibe solo project debut track “Security” in 2014 as his new act King B (also rep’ed by Indigo). Ryley just released the first single since the launch of his solo debut called ” Blind” which is a fresh vista into his developing solo artistic potential as King B. New track “Blind” has the listener wrapped up in a soulfully-melodic chilwave vibe that sports King B’s superbly calm and decadent experimental instrumental style that meshes perfectly with the depth of honesty that we feel in the slightly-hazy at-times-woeful expression vocals (which with the dramatic accent of the synth sometimes borders on the sound of a beautifully expansive cry). English electropop singer-songwriter trendsetter, Little Boots, who is well known for her boldly triumphant mainstream poppy appeal, adopts a modern future-bass-fringed sound on her new hook-laden synth-heavy dance-sensible beat-driven single “No Pressure” which is the third track to release off Little Boots’ upcoming “Working Girl” EP that is Out July 10th via On Repeat and Dim Mak. “Music Box” is the fundamentally appealing beat-centered melodic antique-music-box-accented Billie Black track that is based upon a seductive all encompassing R&B vocal hook and rock steady deeply-sultry beat. Miss Black’s vital slightly-cautious vocals are very engrossing on new track “Music Box”; as are most songs led by the promising young West London vocalist extraordinaire who recently released her wonderful debut “Teach Me” EP which includes the seductively stellar late night synthed-out gem “Going Under” that we recently covered here on B3.
