and begin.
it’s called karma, babe, and it goes around.
craig david. year 2001. to be that smooth! this live acoustic version of mr. david’s hit “fill me in” straight rules. we love the melodies. and feel as though they’re better suited to the halftime rhythm of this version’s acoustic guitar rather than the rhythms present on the album version. the melodic lines just sort of bounce off those half-time syncopations in the guitar creating a compelling, powerful hook. craig, holler at us! we’ll party!
an all time favorite song from an all time favorite artist. curtis, we love ya, dude! RIP.
hahahaha, this is awesome! gonzo! homey, we see you, and really, its ok, we know you’re totally blasted under those shades. just lay off that coolio weed, bro!
Coolio – 1 2 3 4 (Feat. Gonzo, Pepe the King Prawn, Seymour the Elephant and the Muppet La Familia)
arvo pärt in setting the te deum text (of which the “sanctus” is an excerpt) sought to communicate a mood ““that could be infinite in time—out of the flow of infinity. …i had to draw this music gently out of silence and emptiness.”
Whitney Houston – “For the Love of You”
forget the cheesy production/instrumentation …just feel that voice.
it’s 1969, fuckers! did b3sci fake the moon landing? we’ll never tell! but what we will tell is that we were so busy partying with osterberg yesterday. (homeboy can party!) that today we’re straight sunday throwbackin’ it! yeah!
Brandy – “Top of the World” (Feat. Ma$e) (Boogiesoul Remix)”
awwwwww yeah. “top of the world” was the 2nd single released from brandy’s 1998 “never say never” record despite ending up a big hit in europe, particularly the UK, hitting #2 there, “top of the world” was far less successful in the united states than its “never say never” predecessor the massive “the boy is mine”.
we think the darkchild-produced original mix is awesome but this boogiesoul remix puts “top of the world” on some serious late summer jam status. that said, if we were 1998 kickin’ it in the studio with mr boogiesoul we’d maybe have turned down the strings a bit in the song’s middle minute or so. but otherwise this remix just really goes. and oh yeah, harlem world on top of the world!
