alt-J (∆) – Something Good (Zeb Wayne Remix)

Producer Zeb Wayne gets outer-space-high with this remix of “Something Good” from the already otherworldly sonic-space of alt-J (∆). If you’ve got an extra 10:04 to spare then a lucid dream of hypnotic composition awaits your attention below.

RAVE’S FAVE! Diamond Rings – I’m Just Me

Diamond Rings has been around a few years, and has also graced these B3Science pages. This just might be tune to take him to the next level. The retro-leaning “I’m Just Me” is an ideal combination of melody, dance, and a a serious chorus. I’ve been spinning it on my show and getting strong reaction, so I think theres a good chance you’ll feel the same way.

Miguel – Do You

We love Miguel. It’s definitely one of the better stories in music this year, that the L.A.-based R&B singer is starting to get notice that someone of his talent deserves. Mr. Jontel just dropped a preview of his preview; streams of the three tracks from his Kaleidoscope Dream Air Preview which is due Tuesday. This second preview EP (following his Water release back in July), offers up teasers for Miguel’s Kaleidoscope Dream LP which debuts October 2nd. Our pick from the EP is the – Sunday on the boat good-timer “Do You” which further highlights Miguel’s impressive growth as a writer/arranger and singer.

Disclosure – Latch (Feat. Sam Smith)

Fresher than fresh, “Latch” is the latest drop from UK dance duo Disclosure. Equal parts UK garage/UK&b elements and more retro nods, “Latch” earns the biggest share of its dough on its excellent and incredibly addictive chorus. Get a spin below.

Avicii – Stay With You (Feat. Mike Posner)

Brand new Avicii starring Mr. Michigan Mike Posner. The Berg Man strikes a nice dynamic here marrying the more melancholic synth melody lines with a nice firm kinetic beat.

Jesse Boykins III – Restless Dreamer (KING re.fix)

We LOVED R&B group KING’s “The Story” EP from last year (if you’re sleeping, get familiar ASAP). Here, standout track “Hey” gets fixed up with the also excellent Jesse Boykins track “Restless Dreamer”, the result is 3 AM lights-turned-down-low slice of that gorgeousness. Get some gorgeousness.

Trails and Ways – Sure Thing (Miguel Cover) x Animal (Miike Snow)

The awesome Oakland crew Trails and Ways drop off this Marxist-restyled (seriously, check those lyrics) cover of one of our favorite R&B tracks of the last couple years Miguel’s “Sure Thing”. The T and W team select for a decidedly ’90’s Erykah Badu feel for the track, fully engaging the smoky/smooth guitars and rhythms. Grab a free download over at bandcamp and you’ll also score this stripped down version of Miike Snow’s “Animal” along with their take on M83’s smash “Midnight City”.

Kanye West, Jay-Z & Big Sean – Clique (Prod. Hit Boy)

So yeah, THIS just dropped. First, the good: Hit Boy’s beat here is bananas, maybe one of his best productions to date. …And the bad: MEDIUM SEAN. Sean’s verse, which occupies the track’s leadoff slot is capital-A Atrocious. Like they couldn’t have put Pusha there? or 2 Chainz? OJ Da Juiceman? anyone? Get like b3sci and #fastforwardto1:52.

PREMIERE: Turtle Giant – Germany (Part II)

For those of you scouring the interwebs this week for the epic conclusion to “Germany” Part I by Brazilian trio Turtle Giant… then “X” marks the spot as b3sci invites you to indulge in this saga’s conclusion. The 7:35 (in it’s full form) rock opus leads off the band’s much talked about and forthcoming All Hidden Places EP. On this second half, Turtle Giant crank their surf rock beyond the reef, weaving the melodic vocal textures for an ever so apocalyptic and psychedelic ending to an incredible beginning… of their EP. Catch Part 1 of the track, which debuted earlier this week at Turntable Kitchen and grab a copy of the band’s All Hidden Places EP on September 18th.

Native Roses – Shadows

“Shadows”, the latest single from UK act Native Roses, hits right in the b3sci “soulful acoustic jam” sweet spot. Produced by Guy Fletcher (of Roxy Music) and John Illsley (of Dire Straits), “Shadows” has a definite 70’s feel underneath it (a time when many titans of pop-rock were exploring more soulful elements into their music), Fleetwood Mac, Dire Straits, Ace’s “How Long”. The harmonies and melodic diction on offer here are of the highest order. Do not miss “Shadows” in anticipation to Native Roses debut LP expected early 2013.
