TEK.LUN – Shush

teklun

This summer we discussed Baltimore producer Rashad Tek Williams, a.k.a. TEK.LUN, for his incredibly artful meld of vibrant sizzlingly-slow sultry come-hither experimental beats and sublimely dark church-bell-infused synthed-out-organ-vibes on his track “Ar”. Get into his new bass-laden creepy-vibe dynamo called “Shush” which grabs our attentions with its dramatic-haunting (deep and stormy) synth-framed atmospheric instrumentals and intense-feisty mood setting beat-laced temperatures. Camosorno – Jeep Radio (Feat. VINCE)

camosorno

We’re listening to the superbly slow burning sensual-erotic muted-atmospheric beats and brightly-inspired street-sultry vocal elementals of producer Cam Osorno on his seductively loquacious new r&b-infused hip-hop jam “Jeep Radio” which features the super-sexy flow of hip-hop artist Vince. Grapell – Arrow

grapell

“Arrow” is the new sax-heavy (yes!) rhodes-driven (yes! x2) mid-tempo jam from Swedish duo Grapell. A track of the hushed, vaguely soulful, rhythm-led sort that is an easy mark for the B3 team, “Arrow” is a very special accomplished track that needs your ears. Listen.

Dallas Cotton – Something New

dallascotton2

In July B3 featured the lavishly atmospheric jazz instrumentals and remarkable hip-hop infused production style of talented Portland producer/DJ Dallas Cotton on his ultra-smooth sultry-saxed head-turner track “Writer’s Block”. We really like Dallas Cotton’s luminous swoony-flute-enhanced dreamy-vibe textured-beats-lined new single “Something New” in which he marinates his listener in a vintage-vibe careless-breezy lonely-summer-night sentiment and creatively-showcased sultry-soulful vocal sample from r&b-heavy Major Harris. Amazing song. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Kaytranada – I’ve Got Your

kaytranada3

We’re psyched on the sultry-sweet keyboard-tickled 70’s-vibe easy-listening lounge dynamo called “Ive Got Your” from B3 favorite artist Kaytranada, who we last featured for his kitchy fresh-vibe jazz-infusion rip of an A+ classic back-in-the-day Hilary Duff track. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Foals x HONNE – No Place Like Spanish Sahara (Golden Vessel Remix)

goldenvessel

We love “No Place Like Spanish Sahara” the Foals and Honne hybrid track from Brisbane Australia’s talented 18-yr old producer-collaborator Max Byrne a/k/a Golden Vessel. The new track, which features a meld of Foals track “Spanish Sahara” and B3 fave “There’s No Place Like Home” (ft. JONES) by London rising-star duo HONNE, started out a year ago as simply a remix of Foals and recently morphed for the producer into something quite special. Excellent juxtaposition of elements on “No Place Like Spanish Sahara”. Sensational mix. Reviewed By Erin Shay.

Crooked Colours – Step

crookedcolors

Last year B3 featured Perth, Australian live electronic trio Crooked Colours for their excellent visceral-melodic soul-inspired third release “In Your Bones”. We love the group’s new ultra catchy synth-driven slow burner vox-enhanced neo-techno gem track called “Step” which captures a upbeat dance-centered edgy vibe while still remaining quite chill. If you are lucky enough to be in the area, Crooked Colours head overseas for the first time this month to perform at Culture Collide Festival in Los Angeles and CMJ Music Marathon in New York. Excellent tune. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

B3 fave producer GXNXVS (Genius), who recently remixed Theophilius London’s banger drum-inspired Kanye-produced dance track “Tribe” into a strikingly effervescent cool-as-rain R&B jam, wows us again with a beautifully simple bass-driven syrupy r&b mood-altering spin of B3-lauded Panama track “Jungle”. Rave’s Fave: Skinny Lister – Trouble On Oxford Street

Skinny Lister

If you’re a fan of The Pogues, you’ll probably be a fan of “Trouble On Oxford Street” by the UK band Skinny Lister. From the rapid drum intro to the end, it’s a fun track that allows pub rock to keep its good name. Yes this song sounds oh so British. The band is currently touring the US with Frank Turner.
