Wayde – Eleanor

wayde

We like the far-out atmospherics and mid 90’s to early 00’s school-of-rock vibe of new Essex, UK band Wayde who recently debuted their career-first-single “Eleanor”; which we really enjoy for its indie-hazy guitar-riff-heavy instrumentals, slow carefully-muted dramatic-paused pace, luminously-melodic fine-tuned calm-simplicity and sultry-sensitive quiet-shout vocals. Excellent track. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Hayden James – Something About You (ODESZA Remix)

haydenjamesodesza

We like the straightforward sweet-sentimentality and sunny-dreamy vivid-emotive soul-inspired undercurrent of “Something About You” the hit dance-centric jam from artist/vocalist Hayden James; a track which recently received a beautifully creative jolt from B3-featured artist ODESZA. On their new sparkling synth-led muted-reverb-y atmospheric remix of the track the true-to-style dynamic duo ODESZA captivate us again with their graciously-expansive vocal spin, brightly-textured natural-leaning percussion, and cohesive angelic-tribal-vibe vocal accents. Lovely remix. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Go wild with B3’s LA-fave vōx on her new sweetly stunning sugar-layered strings-enhanced vocal-stunner “Claws” which emanates a distinct sense of beauty with its tantalizing melody; mute-silent, foggy-edged, synth accents; and decadent, soothing-vibe, Japanese-aesthetic whispers of harp. PREP – Cheapest Flight

PREP

New UK band PREP make their B3SCI and online debut with feel good late 70’s/early 80’s R&B-inspired “Cheapest Flight”. The band are comprised of an unusual lineup of a hip hop producer, opera composer, house DJ & singer songwriter which as distilled down in “Cheapest Flight” does make sense as a melange of Steely Dan meets Al Green on a cool boat with a way solid horns section that just loves to “put it down”.
