Fallulah is the latest Danish songbird (think MØ, Quadron’s Coco) to capture our b3 hearts. Consider the infinitely catchy “Out Of It” your introduction (or whatever introduction is in Danish).

Vancouver duo Evy Jane come strong with new single “Sayso”. If you’re into Quadron or Kimbra or other like female-lead progressive R&B, Evy Jane is your definite go-to mix for that “special time” this weekend when the lights gets low and the mood gets soft. Too good.

We’ve already namechecked Quadron once today. (We have a habit of doing it a lot). But here’s one half of the Danish duo, producer Robin Hannibal, behind the boards for girlfriend Louie on the feel good, luxurious-sounding “Female Sensitivity”.

Tennis return with Young & Old, the band’s Patrick Carney-produced sophomore LP. Excerpted here, “My Better Self” is a expertly-crafted big beat soulful pop track that would sound at home on record by someone like Quadron. We are loving it.

We love New Look. “Everything” is off the Canadian duo’s (finally) released s/t debut. In the same lane as artists/bands like Quadron, Kimbra, and The Peach Kings, New Look is that grown female-voiced neo-neo-soul. There are bits of current indie and electronic music there (which definitely help make this style more palatable/relevant to the “mainstream indie” bloggerazi) but the backbone of New Look’s sound and the other aforementioned bands is a real (and you can really feel it) emotional communication with the listener that you can only find in the best R&B. New Look’s LP is definitely something you will want to check out.

One half of your favorite blogger’s favorite Danish R&B duo Quadron, Coco O. appears solo here on the track for “Sleep”. Coco’s got some of the best, most emotive pipes in the business; just the texture and feeling she’s able infuse into each note. Do the opposite of what the song says. Don’t sleep. Get into it!
