UK producer Cody Currie will release his forthcoming “Beer Machine” EP through Better Listen Records. A component part of the EP is the ace as hell jazz-tinged groove of “Dynamite” which is available for your streaming perusal below.
We’re digging the Cardigans Gran Turismo vibes on the new one from POWERS entitled “Heavy”. The track does well in connecting that late 90’s minor-key mirrorball sound with a beefed up rhythm track and a killer set of cool harmonies (particularly that “heeaaavvvvvyy” bit in chorus).
StéLouse links up with talented 19-year old newcomer Mascolo (check that vocal tone, oooh wee) for soulful new number “Shivers N Gold”. Particularly special on “Shivers N Gold” is the stickiness/magnetism of the track’s pocket and how well it frames Mascolo’s super strong vocal. A+ track.
The melancholic shuffle of “Swamp” is the excellent latest track from Futuro Pelo, a new project from Paris-based musician Benjamin Sportes.
The cool Nacey-produced kinetic pop of “They All Say” is new from New York-based singer and Sammy Bananas collaborator Maggie Horn.
Melodic Swedes Hater follow on excellent tracks “Mental Haven” and “Had It All” in the form of “Cry Later”. From the first few notes of the song’s sort of brash arpeggiated guitar opening, “Cry Later” wields hook after hook after hook but somehow still feels cool and restrained despite that stickiness. Hater are for real. “Cry Later” is excerpted from Hater’s forthcoming debut LP You Tried for PNKSLM out March 10th.
Dream Beach’s latest track “The Kiss of a Century” (Feat. Cub) takes you on an emotional journey. Unlike the producer’s previous work, Dream Beach approached this track with more of a stripped down feel by creating a track that’s beautiful through it’s simplicities. “The Kiss of a Century” is giving me all the feels. The quickly ascending Indianans Hoops announce debut LP Routines for the great Fat Possum due May 5. Paired with that announcement the quartet are previewing yet another captivating track in the form of new one “Rules” which you can stream below.
I found Tee Grizzley on the Rap Caviar page on Spotify, which is impressive being a relatively unknown rapper. The song titled “First Day Out” is a lyrically focused two-part track, which transitions from a mellow to explosive vibe. The man from Detroit has the potential and is on the rise!
Liverpool up and comers The Night Cafe pair announcement of debut EP “Get Away From the Feeling” with stream of soaring new single “Strange Clothes”. The Night Cafe will playing throughout the UK in February and March with Sundara Karma and Blaenavon before a run of headline dates in May.
