Lose yourself in the sublimely dreamy far-in-the-distance calm-in-the-the-air vibe, carefully-subdued instrumental atmosphere and softly reverberating mix of guitar and melodic vocals on the new mind-soothing trickle-paced track “Wyoming” from B3 new artist find Heather Wood Broderick, who excels on the track (which also features Peter Broderick on drums and Dave Depper on bass) for embodying a catchy, intangible and evocative soulful melancholy in her vocal delivery that may remind of Slowdive. Nice track. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

New York producer Lewis Beck runs a gamut of rad slowly-escalating beautifully-cathartic dream-scapes with his new techno colossus “UFOmism” which features a sensational blend of hand-drum beats and electro-tones awash with a lavishly-appointed bottomless-pit astronomical-vibe that is beautifully characteristic of well-produced techno. We’re into the track’s solid composition, cool depths of deliciously-reverberant drawn-out synth embellishment and multi-layered dimensional pull. A++ Reviewed by Erin Shay.

We like the lyrically sumptuous, soft and sweet, straightforward indie-infused vocal style of r&b singer-songwriter William Bolton on his lavish new downtempo beat-infused collaboration “Sweet Love”; an outstanding joint between Bolton and San Diego-based veteran DJ and deep-house/d&b/hip-hop/funk Producer Ëlē. We are enthusiastic about this great double artist discovery! Stay tuned for more outstanding soulful music on the horizon from both vibrant new artists. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

In February B3 featured the submarine-depth Pink Floyd-esque expansive-vibe “Family Stone” EP lead-single “Come Over” from London-based songwriter and accomplished pianist Alex Burey which is off his second self-produced four-track EP to release this year after “Inside World”. We like Burey’s September-release vintage-vibe new jam “Waiting on Tomorrow” which revels in a unique-sounding Burt Bacharach folky-crooner vocal style, 60-70’s horn-filled soul-funk instrumental accents from vintage revivalist band The Dap-Kings and Burey’s contrastingly strange slightly-lamentful lyrics which meld quirk-ily with the track’s cheery instrumental sentiment (in a good way). We’re totally into “Magnetize” the new sweetly-seductive dreamy-vocaled beauty track from B3-recent feature Shy Luv who we last discussed here for their neatly executed piece of bass-heavy A+ material “Where You At” as well as the trio’s previous track, the opulent hip-hop leaning pop wonder “Caught Up On You”. All three songs come off the trio’s recently-released debut four-track “Caught Up On You” EP which is excellent enough to firmly place the joint collaboration (between Future Classic producer Karma Kid, Armeria beat maker Jake Norman, and vocalist Ryan Ashley) on our 2015 new-acts-to-follow radar. Last month B3 covered “Flame” the crossover-accessible anthemic-quality Sundara Karma single “Flame” and we gave the Reading-based indie rocker foursome an enthusiastic thumbs up on the track. This week bears witness to a cool-vibes tropical-beat-laced summer-driving fix of the song from UK house producer Roosevelt who B3 most recently showcased for his brightly-lit nu-disco-toned Greco Roman-released new tracks “Hold On”/”Night Moves” (out on July 10) which at the time was the first and second releases from Roosevelt in two years (which makes this remix of “Flame” his third). After hearing both Roosevelt tracks we are enthusiastic for more similarly excellent music to come. As for Sundara Karma be sure to check out a time-lapse variety of their tracks (spanning two years) here on the blog. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

New sophomore EP first single “Sweet Gin” is a quietly-simmering mesh of sparkling vocal undertones, deeply penetrating carbonated beats and softly calculated down-tempo instrumentals from Melbourne duo Leisure Suite (a.k.a. Mitchell Wood and vocalist Bridgette Le) who we last covered in September for their engaging beat-centric slow burner gem “Ease Away”. Really good track. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

We’re into the new scratchy-vocaled horn-accected jazzy-tropical-lounge-inspired hip-hop stunner remix of “OG Bobby Johnson” (by Atlanta rapper Que) from talented New Jersey artist (Aaron Valasquez) a.k.a. Flamingosis who we recently covered for his super-cool seductively summery melodic-vocaled funk-soul flip “Love Me in the Evening”. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

We like the colorful-composition artistic weave of the lovely reverb’d main vocals, high-angelic-pitch accompanying background vocal melody and moody-sensational movingly-emotive melancholy undercurrent on “Girls Your Age” the new slow-mo-creative instrumentally-scenic debut track from NY-bred LA-based newcomer four-piece indie-pop band Transviolet; who say the track is about finding a balance between identity expectations and that free-spirited f-u artistic be-yourself vibe that is so important to foster in life (for young women especially). According to Transviolet regarding their vocals-led track, “It’s complicated- coming into your own. Especially for girls. The world wants you to fit a role- be smart OR be sexy OR be modest- they want you to fit into some tidy, little, one-size-fits-all box. The truth is, you are human, and you aren’t meant to be just one thing. You can be innocent, sexy, elegant, dirty, beautiful, and flawed all in the same instance, and you don’t have to let anyone flatten you out into some one dimensional caricature of yourself. Fuck that. You are multidimensional, and you are capable of being everything at once”. Empowering stuff. Transviolet plans to release more material this year so stay tuned! Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Sebastien Tellier – Comment revoir Oursinet (Darius Remix)
Take yourself on an instrumentally radiant beat-centric sonic voyage with B3-blog featured-artist French producer Darius who we recently covered for his outstandingly warm Wayne Snow-vocaled mid-tempo original number “Helios”. On his newest track, a remix, Darius creates a deeply-saturated trippy-far-out moody-expansive prodigious-natured cosmic-vibe that we love, especially on a remix. Darius’ new deep house dance-leaning remix is an adaption of Sebastien Tellier’s mood-drenched atmospheric tapestry of sound “Comment Revoir Oursinet” From his 5th album L’Aventura. The outstandingly soulful track is one of Darius’ first remixes as of late, after his ethereal beauty snap-featured bright-synth take on Jessie Ware track “Champagne Kisses”. Reviewed by Erin Shay
