Welsh folkman Osian Rhys’s new track “Long Time Gone” stopped straight in our tracks and made us pay attention. The vocal, the melodic chops, the simply beautiful harmonizing, and Osian’s cool Welsh accent all of it is really really excellent. A definite surprise. Don’t sleep.
Our man Miguel lets loose the skyward-bound “Use Me”, previewed from his forthcoming three part LP Kaleidoscope Dream. On par with anything quality-wise Mr. Jontel has released post-All I Want Is You the driving track, see the R&B man continuing to explore similar themes and textures as he did on his recent “Art Dealer Chic” EPs

Check out this cool collab between Iggy and Best Coast’s Bethany. The song was recorded for True Blood and it aired under the closing credits of a recent episode a few weeks back. It’s grit from the garage just as you’d expect, and the title words perfectly. By Bruce Rave
*Check out Bruce’s Moheak Radio “Go Deep” show on Sunday nights 7-9 pm Pacific, 10-12 am Eastern, 3-5 am GMT. Also listen to past shows at Bruce’s blog and follow Bruce on Twitter.
NYC singer Kendra Morris pays soulful tribute to the great Wish You Were Here lead track. Perhaps what makes this so appealing is the attention paid to the songs original arrangement, which no doubt needn’t be tampered with (those Gilmour guitar licks we’re looking at you). Preview below the track from her forthcoming debut full-length Banshee.
BeatauCue deliver strong remix work with their latest project. The French production duo dial up “The Way You Make Me” into a giant-sized sprawl of heavy rhythms and sharply crafted synths.
Our dude Ryan Hemsworth has a new EP at the ready called Last Words that will no doubt be wall to wall fire flames. Previewed from the EP below is Hemsworth’s bootleg of the cut-above Frank Ocean slow heater “Thinkin Bout You” which we are certifying a b3sci candlelight jam.

Shlohmo comes through with another 4 AM mix down of a popular blogoverse track. This time its hype boys LOL Boys and their “Changes” track. Steam police.
The new XX track “Angels” has been knockin it down inside b3sci HQ for a couple weeks now. A few remix contenders have come to the fore since the initial track’s release, but this new mix by Gin and Gin maybe our favorite thusfar. Give it your ears below.
Alicia Keys’ latest (complete with those “oh oh oh ohs” that she’s so adept at) becomes the bed for a new 50/Dr. Dre track that is actually knockin’ pretty hard. Can this be Curtis’ comeback single? Our homeboy had a chart hit with that “Down on Me” track w/ Jeremih last summer, so dude is still in the conversation. Is “New Day” enough to get him back to relevance?
We love She Keeps Bees. The Brooklyn-based duo consistently releases really great blues/soul-driven guitar music. New single “Counter Charm” features an especially strong vocal from singer Jessica Larrabee; the way she just wrenches out some of those more intense notes, pulling them up and out of the tape and straight at your guts.
