Premiere: Slowlights – Overgrown

UK band Slowlights announce “I Try So Hard” EP with first stream “Overgrown”. The London-based Slowlights profile continues to build up following supporting slots with Eliza and the Bear and Lewis Watson and spins from BBC London. Here, Slowlights marks out a strong anthemic course on track “Overgrown” complete with a big, instantly singable chorus and an equally ambitious sound palette. “Overgrown” is included on Slowlights’ “I Try So Hard” EP from Killing Moon Records. Stream the B3SCI Premiere of “Overgrown” below.

Cathedrals – With You

The great Cathedrals are back with new music in the form of expansive, hooky, midtempo track “With You”. “With You” follows on from “Try to Fight” released earlier this year, and the two tracks are Cathedrals’ first new music since the release of their s/t EP in 2015. We dig “With You” and you can dig it too below.

Premiere: Lunar – Glad You Stayed

“Glad You Stayed” is the debut track from London-based artist Lunar. The piano-driven midtempo number does well to show off Lunar’s potent alto and melodic choices all the while set about a circadian-type groove that will draw you into the track immediately. Johnny Yukon – Eyes Closed (Feat. G-Eazy)

Johnny Yukon is a Philadelphia native singer-songwriter who links up with G-Eazy for “Eyes Closed”. “Eyes Closed” is a hard-hitting melodic rap beat with Johnny on the smooth hook and G’s slapping flow. Johnny’s urban-pop style is confessional lyrics over hard-hitting beats that compliment each other. Take a peep at Johnny’s Soundcloud page here.

Ant Beale & Charlie Heat – Dirty Taurus

“Dirty Taurus” is the lead song on Charlie Heat and Ant Beale’s EP “No Rain No Flowers”. Charlie Heat is a GOOD Music producer who teamed up with Ant to create this EP. Ant Beale is an artist from New Jersey who is mainly underground. He has a ton of more music on his Soundcloud (here). The song is a mellowed rap ballad great for a day at the beach.

Kidsmoke – And Mine Alone

We featured/loved Welsh band Kidsmoke in January for their restrained but quite formidable knack at pop songwriting on track “Waves”. The Wrexham band return with another strong entry in “And Mine Alone”, a breezy melodic number that will very very quickly have you in toe-tapping new favorite song mode.
