“O Maybe I” is from Chapel Club, the UK’s latest hype. Zane Lowe and NME have been all over these guys, and 2010 could see big things for them. “O Maybe I” is the band’s second single and will drop official in February. one thing for certain, Chapel Club have got a killer sound, capped by an ability to make dissonant, yet totally listenable/enjoyable, melodies. hopefully a full length debut is in the works… we’ll keep you posted.
Groove Armada team up with Fenech-Soler to offer “Paper Romance.” the cut is taken from their anticipated 9th studio full length, Black Light, expected February 23 via Bacardi distribution.
straight outta deptford, london, uk, it’s……..TAPETHERADIO. the recent rough trade signees come packing a serious robert smith mancrush. we can dig on that. and we can also dig on “stay inside’s” bloody infectious chorus hooks. we ain’t lyin kids, check that chorus! it’s a winner!

“Coiming To Save You” is new off the Nobodys Coming To Save You LP due official on February 1st. the chorus is BIG, and really this track is KILLER!! seriously. so we’ve got the Muse, and The Killers… who’s got the blender??
“Play Together” is previewed from Chew Lips fourthcoming LP, Unicorn, which drops January 25. the track delivers minimal dance pop with serious hooks. KeSha.. girl, watch your back!!
“tik tok… tik tok… tik tok… baggy, your time is almost up.” my dog guest DJs this white panda mashup of rich boy (world’s largest forehead) vs. keSha (now #1 on billboard). that chorus hook on the keSha jam is next level. bummer that it’s not featured on this mash. still lets party like its 2009. gangstas in the house!

philly/LA artist shalonda’s newly released “just go…a mixtape” melds american songbook melodies (fever, misty, god bless the child) with modern hip hop beats. we’re psyched! our fav from the tape is “dey know it’s summertime” which marries the classic gershwin lines of “summertime” with the beat of shawty lo’s “dey know” record. the track fuckin kills! aside from “dey know it’s summertime”, the rest of the mixtape is jammed with bangers. we’re too digging on the “fever/day n nite” and “house of the rising sun/umi says” blends. and oh but wait….that ain’t all! the mixtape is totally FREE! yeah! so get hip to a uniquely creative artist and download that shit here. shouts to soulbounce!
