One Track Brain – Stimulus

onetrackbrain

Experience the unabashed slow build and soulful deeply-entrancing instrumental breadth of compelling new gutteral techno dance-floor-stomper from Liechtenstein artist One Track Brain, “Stimulus”, which is the b-side track on the enigmatic new producer’s “Gefühl Operator / Stimulus” EP that recently released last month on OTB Records. Axel Flóvent – Dancers

Axel Promo

Icelandic songwriter Axel Flóvent follows up his Hypem Top 10 track “Forest Fires” with piano-driven new one “Dancers”. Flóvent’s easy to harmony tenor is the spark of “Dancers”, as the young Trellis Records signee vocal oscillates steadily within a pretty frame of spacious acoustics and tight fidelity drums. Axel Flóvent’s “Forest Fires” EP is out May 25th on Trellis Records.

Oslo Parks – Fiction

osloparks2

Brighton-based new favorites Oslo Parks are releasing a new single on June 8th via X Novo Records. The first track to surface from the AA-side release is “Fiction”, a sunny synth-laden take on modern indie pop that in addition to being very very good takes cool risks in its arrangement (love those staccato piano stabs) and melodic choices.

Oscar – Beautiful Words

Londoner Oscar announces new EP for Wichita Records with stream for title track “Beautiful Words”. The pop not pop sounds of “Beautiful Words” are highlighted by Oscar’s cool vaguely Morrisseyesque baritone and a very infectious chorus hook that will fixate in your brain nearly immediately. June 23rd is the date to know for “Beautiful Words”.

Rebel Kites – Atlas Sky

rebelkites

The Rebel Kites are a London-based act that make as the band describes it, cinematic folk music. “Atlas Sky”, previewed from the band’s “The Witnessing” EP, very much fits that cinematic folk description with its sweeping symphonics and mastery of ebb and tension of mood (Think Pink Floyd meeting Townes Van Zant outside a rusted-out barn on the Moon). Rebel Kites’ “The Witnessing” EP is out now.
