Premiere: Fantastic Fantastic – Boulevard

fantasticfantastic

“Boulevard” is new from UK duo Fantastic Fantastic. The DNA of “Boulevard” is very much of the neon proto-digital 1980’s with a bit of yacht rock spun into it. “Boulevard” gets particularly interesting is in its variable palette tunefulness where tinges of 60’s pop, post punk, etc can be heard in its melodic unpredictability and tinges of darkness and nihilism. Stream the B3 Premiere of Fantastic Fantastic’s “Boulevard” below.

Jack Garratt recorded this live version of the Ne-Yo-penned Mario modern classic “Let Me Love You” in Austin last week for Huw Stephens. Garratt engages in him some particularly special gut-shot falsetto runs in the recording’s final stages that we love. Listen to “Let Me Love You” below and get psyched for Jack Garratt’s “Synesthesiac” EP out April 13 on Interscope.

Twin Caverns – Pyramid

twincaverns

We’re into the sleek new bit of avant pop from Australian duo Twin Caverns titled “Pyramid”. The track features a spacious arrangement replete with an eerie and slightly at times dissonant guitar figure juxtaposed to the quieting vocal of singer Louise Miller.

Okay Kaya – Damn, Gravity

OKAY-KAYA photographed by Tim Barber. 2015.

Okay Kaya is a signing to XL’s Hot Charity imprint. The Norwegian-born artist’s new song “Damn, Gravity” is majestic in its minimalist lo-fi frame and very very effective as a debut.
