a few from their fourth coming album The Satanic Satanist due July 21st. portugal. the man are a particularly prolific and consistent band.. four albums in four years is definitely an accomplishment, especially considering they’re all pretty dec. only US dates are lolla and outside lands this summer, stoked to hear the new stuff live. “what a lovely day yeah we won the war, we may have lost a million people but we got a million more… it’ll be alright… all the people they’ll see” you know, just telling it like it is..

Ingredients:
1 glass milk
1 container chocolate syrup
Preparation:
Pour approx. 1.5 to 2 tbsp chocolate syrup into the glass milk. Add/lounge on the syrup according to taste. Stir.
what a killer hodgepodge of sounds. i wasn’t surprised when i found out these brooklynites were a sub-pop band, or that they are made up of indie vets from Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, Edsel and Shortstack.. blame you came out in march and it has some great garage rock on it. most importantly, they have a killer photo section on their myspace.

No news is good news today. It is an especially tragic day for the history of music as it has lost one of the best male vocalists and artists of all time. Michael Jackson suffered cardiac arrest and was unable to be resuscitated at his Holmby Hills home earlier this afternoon. His is already a legend, his music will live forever, may he rest in peace..
