Alain Lalonde is back with another remix! This time Usher’s Diplo-produced track ‘Climax’ (a b3sci favorite). There’s really two things I have to say about this remix. First, Alain adds some bounce to the track, especially during some of Usher’s vocals. Secondly, he cranks up the heat. If you aren’t careful, you’ll get smacked in the face at about the 4:45 mark. I like what I have seen so far from Alain Lalonde, he has this unique funky style, but doesn’t forget that you have to get the beats smashing sometimes to get a crowd jacked up.

“All Or Nothing” is a catchy new number from songstress Tamar Kaprelian. It’s a commercial friendly track that showcases the evolving pop artist in a fashion that plays true to her roots and strengths of piano and song. “All Or Nothing” will be available this June on her new EP titled California. “Mona Lisa Overdrive” is Tango in the Attic’s second single from their forthcoming album, Sellotape, and comes with an accompanying video featuring footage from their time at SXSW this year. What we’ve heard so far from the new album points towards an altogether nosier, garage sound than the debut Blank Place Locomotive Society whilst hanging on firmly to their energetic pop qualities. Sellotape will be out on May 28th.

Manchester collective No Ceremony have just dropped this official remix of “Need Your Love” from The Temper Trap’s brand new self-titled LP. The track is a mean variation, both melodic and fierce, it’s a banger for the books, and B3SCI has got your premeire. Get into it!

Harlan’s Native Son EP is a delightful pop carousel, one of my fav EPs as of late, with heady hooks to be enjoyed by music lovers of all ages. Per the Echo: “It has been described as Prince meets Genesis meets Shuggie Otis.” However, songs like “I Never” also show off a Nilsson Schmillson variety involving the rare juxtaposing of whimsicality and self-seriousness. Sprinklings of da Doobie Bros and Jamiroquai can be detected as well. We’re mightily stoked here @ B3SCI for his May residency at the Echo, one of the more exciting in recent memory. Harlan can hit all the notes and plays just about every instrument as well. And right when you think you’ve heard it all, there’s that desert rock guitar on the EP’s title track. Absolutely righteous!

The Temper Trap bring the Zooropa standard into their framework for a moment, while covering of a song, that unlike covering just any great song, has featured Bono’s voice. Kudos adaptation.
