Esta – Childish People (Prod. Masego)

estachildishpeople

LA producer and Soulection feature-artist esta. joins up with trap/house/jazz aficionado Masego (who contributed trap scats and sax on the track) to create a super catchy jazzy-instrumental-infused jam which is based on a clever meld of samples from Childish Gambino and Phony Ppl; hence the name, “Childish People”. We are loving the new Felix Snow-produced track from L.A.-based singer Allison Taylor as featured on the (!)Entourage soundtrack. Snow’s melodic R&B-friendly production choices are a great foil for Ms. Taylor’s cool alto on “Bells”. A+.

Premiere: Gemini Club – Fret and Regret

Gemini Club are the Chicago-based band of producer/keyboardist Dan Brunelle, lead singer/guitarist Tom Gavin, DJ/electronics Gordon Bramli and drummer Ryan Luciani. The CHI crew broke through last year with their Sirius Alt Nation #2, the anthemic “Sparklers”. Here, GC return with the rhythmic indie rock and roll of “Fret and Regret”. Galvanized by clanking syncopated bass, layered polyrhythms and handclaps and scene set with stabs of percussive guitar measured just right, “Fret and Regret” is a confident and powerful reminder of just how good Gemini Club can be. We’re very pleased to B3 Premiere “Fret and Regret” the new single from Gemini Club.
