We’re digging the just-released “Mosaic” EP from UK duo Tyde. Our pick from the strong four-track release is “Can’t Help It”, a breezy dance-able number set with just enough French influence (read warm tones) to stay fixed to your playlists into the summer months.

Puma Blue, the South London cognoscente of rough-hewn jazzy pop boots another A+ track through the buzz frame on “Moon Undah Water”. Surrealistic, scattering, jarring, hypnotic “Moon Undah Water” in its diverse arrangement touches off many seemingly disparate points of feeling in shaping what is a duly unnerving but magnetic course. We’re into it. Stream “Moon Undah Water” from the excellent Blue Flowers label below.

Agency’s “I Can’t Think Of Anything But You” is a new track off their recently released LP, Philosophies. With satiny acoustic guitar, wonderfully raw neo-soul vocals, and laidback percussion, I can’t help but compare it to early Frank Ocean and his whimsically enticing R&B atmospheres. The song ends with a masterfully arranged web of flutes. The polyphony is heaven and I’m melting.

Simon Jefferis has put out the silkiest single of the last few weeks. Collaborating with friend and fellow musician Benedict Cork, the South London artist has brought us some mellow indie pop on “Easy”. The track surfaces effortlessly with ambling piano, cloudy static, and jazzy fingerpicking that takes me back to some old George Benson.

On “Into Me” Chromonicci skates across tinkling electric pianos and a jazz/house-influenced bit of future R&B rhythm/instrumental with the plea “Are you into me baby?”. We’re into it.

“She dreams of driving the yellow cabriolet”. The slow motion cinema of “Pink” from Roche Musique stalwart Crayon is one of our favorite tracks of the year so far. Pacing, producting, the way the vocal sits in the track are all exampled here on “Pink” at their highest level.

UK bass’ most tipped name Conducta streams crossover ready latest “Only U”. The London producer tells Clash “With ‘Only U’ the aim was to put all my influences from Grime, R&B, and New Jack Swing into one track. I wanted to create something which had those R&B flavours but still had that 2-Steppy vibe and a swing to it” Objective reached. A+ track.

“Blossom” is the first track online from SF native and LA-based Colin Magalong. On “Blossom”, Magalong packs big-time crossover-ready vocal into a hooky instrumental influenced by heroes MJ, Daft Punk. Magalong calls “Blossom” “a song inspired by my first impressions of East LA nightlife.” “Blossom” is a soulful feel-good number that will be stuck in your brain just as quickly as it will have your toes-tapping and head-nodding. “Da Ba Dee Da Ba Daa.” Lolo Zouai’s “Blue” features (in one of its primary hooks) the greatest interpolation of Eiffel 65 of all time. It’s also a way cool song from an artist very quickly on the rise. Listen below.
