Another day, another stunning remix of a Lana Del Rey cover by Birdy. This time it’s Northern Ireland mixer Owsey and Bon Iver’s modern classic “Skinny Love”. My my my.

So Phantogram’s return single of their sophomore LP Nightlife “Don’t Move” fucking ripped. Now the more quiet (but no less awesome) title track surfaces. We couldn’t be more psyched for this record!

If this shit gets the right amount radio spins it’s a Top 5 hit on Billboard. I usually listen to Z Hip Hop Cleveland during the day while I’m working, “Do It Like You” should do nicely between “Make Me Proud”, “She Will” & “I Gotta Chick”. Mr. Birthday Sex, Jeremih, chips in on vocal duties.

Canadian producer Ianborg just dropped off this grown as hell remix of New Look’s “Numbers”. On the track, sultry synths give way to an understated chug-wobble all framing Sarah Ruba’s deep-in-the-mix vocal . This remix is absolute FIRE. LISTEN.

Finally the Justice Audio Video Disco album drops next Tuesday. Initial track “Civilization” is one of the most-requested songs on my radio show this year. The guys cite a strong Led Zeppelin influence on this album and “Parade” is all over that intensity. The intro bass line is definitely Zeppelin. “Parade” is packed full of 70’s progressive with almost too many memorable melody lines to count. It’s like “We Will Rock You” for the next generation. Also, Mike of b3sci and I chatted with Bombay Bicycle Club back at SXSW which I’ll be running as an interview special on this Friday’s “Go Deep” show around 2p Pacific, 5p Eastern. Be sure to check past shows at Bruce’s blog.
Probably our favorite new MC, our man ASAP inked a deal with RCA last week. First Harlem, then the world. The buttery, piano-driven “Out of This World” goes ASAP in. ASAP.
